So yesterday morning on my way to work in Stellenbosch i stopped at the Engen (the one we usually meet at when we convoy to Paarl) i pull up to the pump and get out the car because i wanted to get a cooldrink at the shop, i give the guy my cars and tell him to put in R200 Unleaded, i stood there and watched that he actually puts in unleaded (sometimes Unleaded sounds like LRP to them) anyway so i go into the shop to get a cooldrink and when i come out the guy tells me the tank stopped on R100 and asked if he must put another R100 in so i told him yes, i then give him the R200 + R5 for cleaning my windows and checking my tires...i start the bakkie and see that the needle only went up to quarter which i thought was weird because i didnt even reach my reserve tank yet when i pulled in there, so i thought ok maybe it will go up while im driving i pulled out from the pumps but when i got there to the parking i saw the needle didnt go up so i stopped and reversed back again, after i found him i asked him for the cash slips hie brings me 2 R100 slips but when i compare the time stamps on the slips they are 9minutes apart, i asked the guy whats up so he said he doesnt know he will go find out but i can pull into a pump again so long and as i do this i watch him in my rear view mirror...then i see MY R100 coming out of his pocket but he is trying to make it look like he went to fetch it from the till, thats when i get out of the bakkie with my wheel brace in my hand (always keep it in my door incase) and have some very "nice words" with him after the guys around tried to calm me down i told him to put the R100 in the car and to give my R5 back lol he was very lucky i was at the point i could still be calmed down because i was ready to give him a very good hidding, i told him if he ever see's me pull in there again he needs to stay very far away from me because i will stick one of the petrol nozzles down his throat and put in R100's worth of petrol sorry for the long story lol

YARE! on tipping the bowser boys, many neglect to do that BUT, this didn't deserve fcukol! The Ute's needle moves very quick after you've filled in petrol & turned the ignition to the 'On' position TIP: Always open your tank yourself, & stand RIGHT THERE when they fill up Oh & check & fill your own tyre pressure or alternatively, WATCH him doing it. That bra could've driven off in your Ute or organised the keys for someone else to drive off in it! Don't leave your vehicle unattended at a garage man! Thnx for the headsup though

i usually stay there and do everything myself, but i was in a rush yesterday so didnt still want to take longer than i needed to, but then again if i had taken the time none of this wouldve happened in the first place and it actually wasted more of my time in the end anyway.

Yoh! that is hectic, you should have taken your R100 back once he put the petrol in If you pump up your tires take your own tyre pressure gauge with you, I have never found a petrol station where the gauges are accurate

Lol they must be jus to try that with me. I almost punched the last attendant that even tried to touch my motor after I told him I'll sort it out... They don't listen. Always watch them, I tend to watch in my mirrors that the pump is actually in the car. Had an incident in JHB where I was meeting my mom after school at the garage, and I was walking across the road to her and I saw the guy pumping the petrol into an old paint bucket just behind the car... So I told my mom, and when the guy was finished, she kept her money, and promptly reversed into the bucket knocking the petrol all out, and drove away... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...
But ja the scaley mofos...

Thanks for the heads up. My wife always think that I am paranoid when I ask her if she can see how much they filled up with. You can never trust these petrol attendants.
