So after + 2months my car is driving once again and newly resprayed in a fresh new TWILIGHT WHITE (ice white with silver inn). So its really hot and I dont lis to wash and polish the car I decide to take it to Sasol car wash . where I ask for a full wash which is R65 so the cashier puts in a superior wash which is R75 . anyways being it the festive month I give the extra R10 . so this is for alles(wash/dry/vacuum/polish and all trimmings.). so I wait in a long line to get the car washed(which is normal) right car gets washed and now I must pull forward to go park so they can vacuum ect. and I'm standing about 15min now in the sun with the car and the water is drip drying . . Guess what the guys at the back who does the washing had something go wrong and the machine goes bos and me infornt with my window down waiting to pull in. the machine goes wild and shoots me and my interior full of FOAM and WATER. I am pissed cause my dictator and radio may fault. anyways I go park they all apoligising and drying up where they can. I go inside where they give me towels to dry myself. I come out to see 2 guys all skelling by my rear passenger door. all because they broke my mirror . NOW I'm SUPER B!!!F!K and GO BOS there. my door is scratched because of that and mirror still broken. I complaint by the manager he just says sorry . my car is newly sprayed costed me just under R10k now this . so I just went home and polished my own car and had to cable tie my mirror up . dont go there GUYS they UNPROFESSIONAL. best to wash your own car

They normally do have a "we are not responsible for any damage to your car bla bla" but yare ... they were flippen irresponsible in this case. If it was me I'd moering a jack through someone's window!!

Sorry to hear buddy Anyways...i had my Coupe washed one night at the Engen garage in front of your house. Its 2 foreigners think husband and wife who wash the car and they take extra care to do it properly...not like these Sasol, Total (mass production) car wash places. I would suggest you go late afternoon or early morning and get it washed there...they look like they take pride in their work and are very cheap.

There are very few places who actually give a damn when washing your car and you will learn alot from those who take pride in their work and customer service. Look at a Sasol, Total or any of these garage based car wash places...they simply do it as an additional extra to make some money besides the petrol and shop on the premises. Now look at a Car wash place, who only does this daily...there is usually a big difference in the service. I have noticed that if you wash at a garage and pull up in a nice looking "expensive" car (Merc, BMW, Range Rover, etc)... they will put easily 3-4 people on that vehucle to ensure that it gets washed properly. Extra care goes into ensuring the panels are washed twice, wheels are cleaned, etc... now look at your average car and they do a quick once-over, before you blink, the car is "cleaned". Unless you point it out, they will blatantly ignore dirt left over after they did half-baked job. Which brings me to car washes...always look for those places who take care to perform a routine on every single car they wash regardless of its look or price. Whenever you are in the Thornton are, go to BUX and have your car washed at the car wash there at the garage. They have been there for years and the father will ensure that before you handover your money, that you are satisfied with the job done. They take pride in their service and for this reason, i believe will always have business. Perhaps we should have a preferred list of Car wash places that are recommended and then tell those people that we are happy with their service...it could also lead to future discounts if we have a "Club- preferred" car wash

The Total garage by my house does a really good job at washing and cleaning cars. They have a set system thats in place and do one car at a time.
2 people wash the car in the washing bay, and when they done your park your car under the shade netting. Then there are 6 people waiting there, 2 people dry the vehicle, 1 person vacuums the inside of the car and boot, 1 person just does the wheels and tyres, 1 the plastic trimmings on the outside and then the last person polishes the interior (dashboard, steering wheel, center console, etc)
All of this costs R55, which isnt a bad price imo. I only wash my car by them if im too lazy to do it myself.

TC - that is very cheap for all that they do...there's 1 car wash in paarl opp. Virgin Active that does a great job & are cheap - like R30 for wash & dry & silicone & wiping interior bt not vacuum
but ya i wash the vehicles myself 99.99% of the time
@syler - OCCT is big everywhere, Northerns / Southerns / Boland...that guy seka want to make alot of business again, if he asks such a question, anyways lets get back to topic, you can mail / pm me
