dont agree ....he still has ways 2 go ......and no ronaldo is not the best .<Edited section> ..we dont need some1 that thinks he's better that the team .....i still maintain that rooney should play attacking mid and not out and out striker ....the cantona role ....with sholes next 2 him and berba and tevez as out and out strikers .....with giggsy in his normal role as winger and a better right winger ....maybe one day Nani will come somehere close 2 giggsy (doubt it though)

The fact is that Stevie G has been the best midfielder in the world for about 2-3 years now.
It is true that Ronaldo single handedly gave Manure their success of last year hence his player of the year accolades, but Stevie is a box to box midfielder who defends well, attacks well and passes / assists well. There simply is nobody better than him and i laugh at those who compare Fat Frank Lampard with him....Stevie is different class

Anyways in my opinion, the best player in the world at the moment simply has to be Lionel Messi, the boy is simply brilliant

I would however like to see Stevie G win World player of the year this season, perhaps when Liverpool wins the CL, then he stands a good chance.

Win or lose he will always be our Captain Fantastic

Ebie u see the thing is that the people who vote only see guys who score goals not some1 who works their ass off for the team .....so although i think it would be deserved for Gerrard to be up there yes look @ paul scholes u dont get a better passer of the ball in todays game ....and he's work rate is also up there but yet he will never be in those peeps minds coz he doesnt score enough goals

He has earned 110K per week for the past 4 years and been injured for large parts of the period,then his team gets relegated, he becomes a free agent and talks about wanting to play at the highest level to force his way back into the 2010 England squad... so that was his motivation to join a top 4 club, but MANURE I am so dissapointed.

Joke is if he signed for Hull City or Stoke, then the media woulda said Owen is a has-been injury prone flop, but im sure they will spin it now and say its a masterstroke by SAF

He grew up in Liverpool...how he can play for the devil is beyond me.
The fans will never forgive him....i also imagine sum die hard manure fans cannot be happy with this
