Hi guys

Just want to share my k@k with you guys. O>k GM doen have lifters in stock or if they do it a FAARK expensive. So i bought lifters from ALERT 2 years ago and then again last year. So everytime the lifters works for about 6 months and it jacks around the expensive ones by them. Me just threw in the box and buy new ones not know thet i have a year warrenty on the lifters.

So i bought me another set in the year and i keep all the proof and packaging. So now the lifters is making a noise again and i took it back.

So they call the ou that do the part exchange. He comes to me and ask what is up. Told him here the slip and p[ackage and lifters they making a noise and i want to exchange them. Now he is giving all that k@k when was motor done and new oil pup wheteva.

Told listen i have 1 year warrenty and please just take it back and he went to his desk to fetch a piece of paper and and showed me that the oil got abit of sand in.

Told him that i put it back in a package and maybe it had sand it. That man did not want to take the lifters back so i told him it cool and i will send a letter to Alert and put them in the news paper.

Dont trust Alert with that crap of warrenty on lifters.

You will get this type of service at any retail outlet on a bad day. I think it is a matter of weighing the good versus the bad. For every sh1tty transaction there is probably about 20 going ok. You were just that one unfortunately. But yah, that is how we all learn.

I will have to agree with qwella on this.

I paid R350 for a set of lifters from Alert two years ago and the lifters have been in my car since the beginning of the year (around 3000km on the clock) and have yet to give problems.
