Check this crap

Saw a puma shoe that caught my eye at Markham 2 weeks ago (Tygervalley center store). They didn’t have my size. Only other store that had a 10 was V&A so they said they could ibt (not itb’s lol) it from V&A to Tygervalley at MY cost (which I don’t really get cos’ im supporting their store so why cant they cover the cost – don’t they have courier bakkies). Anyways, I agreed & paid the R30 cash.

Last Friday, (6th) they call me & say the shoe arrived. I tell them I’ll pick it up the 8th (Sunday). Unfortunately I could not make it to CT on the 8th. I call them the 9th (Monday) & ask them if they could please keep it till the w/end (14th / 15th). The sales girlie says no. I ask why? She says stocktake & bla bla bla. I explain to her that I live in Paarl. I already paid the courier and cant understand why they cant keep it for me. She makes me hold & the supervisor / manager comes on the phone (she didn’t even say please hold for my manager or anything ). Manageress was quite an abrupt lady. Heavy lack of customer skills. She acted as if she was doing me a favor & she says they not allowed to keep the shoe for more than a few days. WTF. Im supporting your damn store!

Anyways, I AGAIN agree to cover the R30 ibt cost to have it ibt’d from Tygervalley to Paarl Mall Markham. She says ok & Markham – Paarl Mall will call me when they receive the shoe
Thursday (12th) I go to CT unexpectedly. Call them while I’m at my other appt. & the same manageress says the shoe was already ibt’d the same day (Monday, 9th). I tell her the reason for my call was cos’ I am in CT & was prepared to come collect the shoe. She says it was already ibt’d in a very sarcastic tone

I go to Paarl Mall Markhams store this past Sat (15th). They say it takes 5 working days so I must come back Monday (yesterday). I call them this morning, they still didn’t receive the shoe. This other imbecilic girl says that it might be this week or next week. I mean, WTF!? BOL
I ask her if she cant at least tell where the shoe is. She says no, she cant. She couldnt even at least TRY to assist me. And I called at 9:05am. You should be wide awake after the store being opened up for only 5mins & you’ve hopefully been trained in customer service & support before being appointed. Clearly not the case here

Spoke to their head office this morning. They couldn’t believe this story & says they will get to the bottom of this. I don’t even know if I’ll like this shoe if / when I receive it or if the size 10 will still fit me

Markham is the oldest account I have (out of all my clothing accounts – well, I only have 3 clothing accounts) & I’m utterly disgusted by their service & lack of customer service or satisfaction

PS. Already checked the PUMA store in CW. They don’t have that specific shoe

Anthea (manageress) called me a minute ago apologising profusely & offering me a refund on the R30 as well as a 5% discount off the shoe & NOW they willing to keep it for me till this w/end

They have apparently received more stock on the shoe. The 1 on its way to Paarl probably disappeared

Bad customer service ekse! Good that you called head office, sometimes these store managers need to be put into place and be reminded that the customer is important. Glad you came right though.

if I was you I wouldn't take the shoe, rather buy a grasshopper. Works for formal events, jogging and if push comes to shove you will be able to effortlessly jump a wall
