So I've been having problems with my cam sensor and car has been running with management and traction control light on for bout a week now. Went to GnC to get an assessment and quote and they told me I need a brand new sensor cause the thing is in his chops. They quote me over 2k for parts and labour! I then decided to get a second opinion...So I found this place KC auto electric some of you guys may know it, on the audi club forum. I call them up and they say they can have a look at the car tomorrow! The next day I drop the car off at about 9am and then leave for Stellenbosch. At about 1pm i get a call from them saying they did a diagnostics and it brought up quite a few error codes. Cam sensor, throttle position sensor, crank angle sensor and another few codes! So im thinking to myself this is gona cost me an arm and a leg to fix. He then proceeds to explain to me that it is unlogical that all these sensors would fail at once and it is just the cam sensor failure that is causing those codes. He then tells me that there is nothing wrong with my cam sensor and the occilations of the signal are as normal as they come. The fault lies with the wiring, which I already knew, but GnC told me the whole unit needs to be replaced. He then tells me he had already fixed up those wires and taken the car for a test drive and everything works perfect! All he then had to do was clear all the mock fault codes and the job was done. The car was ready for collection at 3pm! and it only costed me 2 hours of labour! All and all im very impressed with the worksmanship, pricing and customer service I received! Car is pulling good as new again! Will be having any further electrical work done by them in the future! I would strongly recommend them to anyone!

It was R1040 mybru! diagnostic and fault codes removing is R480 by them i think must check the invoice and then cant remember what labour was now, think was just over R400. vat exclusive
