first of all I know 200is F!!!KING well I owned 2 and stripped these cars to the bone and put it back already .. for some weird reason OPEL chose to make rear brakes on these car like this.
where the drums have shoes and control the handbrakes and has discks with calipers ON.
the euro models got NO REAR DISCS just plain old drums

ok I wont argue this . lets put money down R200 bux says rear brakes has discs and drums ! and no your 200ie has the same exact the same . so you saying theres no SHOES on your rear brakes just a plain disc and caliper so how does your handbrakes work ? on your astra ? Oh and my 200is is the full house came out stock from the factory like this. Ebie 200is has no rear discs only plain drums. doesnt mean you see a disc and caliper at the rear of the car that there is no drums . I would like to know how the hand brakes worked on your astra , Im not going on Im just letting you know about something that you actually thought never existed .

I didn't intend it to sound like I was gaaning aan , just the big bold statement made me feel that you trying make me look dumb

I'm with Tautzy on this... The 200ie/200is has disks with a small drum that operates the handbrake, unless you have a Astra G that does not have a drum handbrake but a disk handbrake.

Same on my Monza, Rekord and BM. Small drum is for the handbrake.
