I'm starting to think that the guys at the spares shops and wheel centers have something agaist me lol.

When to Midas In Montague Gardens on saturday to buy some parts to do my engine over.
Bought gaskets... seals... bearings...lifters and so on.
They didn't have my big end and main bearings in stock so they had to order it and i could come collect it later that day. they don't call me as promised... i get a missed call from their number 3 hours later.
I go in get the parts and go home. try to fit it and see the main bearings are to small, chech the bid ens and main seal... same story. They gave me parts for the 1.6 where i asked for 2.0. By this time they were already closed.

Went to SA autoparts sunday and got the same parts from them... this time they supplied me with standard mains after i showed them the slip from the engineers clearly stating i needed 0.20 bearings. When i took it back they already had the bearing ready for me like they were expecting me back.

Guess i need to just stop buying the part myself... having no luck :mzekezeke:

I waited 3 weeks for a radiator from SA Auto parts, or should I say 3 weeks for the right one, they gave me a couple that were wrong, eventhough I gave them a sample...

And I'm still waiting for my new starter also from SA Auto... been a month already, but its ok, they can keep their k@k no name brand new one, the used bosch one they "borrowed" me for the weekend when they couldnt give me a new one eventhough I already paid for it, is working just fine

And dont even get me started on Midas! I had to walk a salesman out of the store to my car, open the bonnet and f'ing show him that you infact DID get a 2.0 16v Monza, he was arguing for life and death that you dont get one...

So i'm not the only one having problems with these people.

What i don't understand is why can't they just be HONEST with their customers and say "look, we don't have the part you're looking for " or "i'm not sure let me find out"? Either one of those responses would be perfect for me. But no... they insist on making the customers drive back and forth.

but oh well
