A lenient traffic officer: My 1st time

Not that I get stopped a lot, but still
Yesterday morning on the way to work in the Ute (I was in a crap mood also)
Not a full-on road block - was just two highway patrol's randomly stopping vehicles before the N1 on-ramp

He checked my drivers license, then looked at my rear right wheel. Asks if the Ute came out with the wheels or if I had them fitted afterwards. I confirmed the latter
Then he asks me if the bakkie is lowered in front lol. I say yes, Eibach
Then he says luckily its not too low or at least FOR HIM, it's not too low

Checks my license disc (which is also hidden away behind the sun-tint-blue-thing on windscreen - top left)
Then I realized I left the discs at work - bought 2 new discs last week Fri morning. Forgot to put them on

He looks at me & tells me: "Have a good day sir, all is good"
Dodged a what...R500-R800 fine?

Thank you Mr. Officer. My faith in humanity is restored

I've always been polite no matter the attitude of the officers, and bar one brah in Paarl, never had a bad stop...

Last time, I went through a roadblock with the Corsa, the 2 officers even made jokes. All he asked was is the car cammed. I said yes and then he checked the car and said I must enjoy my day.

Never had any problems with the metro or traffics.

The trick is to NOT act like a little b!tch. The guy has all the advantages and he's probably been given lip by a number of people already. Just say yes, no and sorry as the case may be. And don't lie. Cops never ask questions they don't already know the answer to. You're more likely to be let off with a warning when you admit to being drunk than if you try to hide it and you make them do a field test.

I once got pulled off by a traffic cop 'cos he wanted to know where I had the springs done on my UTE and how much it cost. Why ... 'cos he wants to do his one as well!

Talking about Poephol traffic officers.
I was stopped at a roadblock in Frans Conradie, just past N1 City.
While they checking my car, no faults found, one of the other ociffers tries to 'block' a guy because he says that the license disk is supposed to be fitted at bottom of windscreen on the passenger's side.

While he is writing up the guy, one of the bystanders who lived near asks who is the driver of one of the traffic cops cars. It happened to belong to the same poephol that is writing up the guy over his disk.

So the bystander says: "Well you're going to have to write yourself up as well because your license disk is also at the top of the screen."

We all breeked, poephol went red and got haregat with the bystander, other dude still got a fine.
